Who The Heck Are These People Who Own Enchanted Hollow?
Enchanted Hollow is owned and operated by Mary and Bob Sansevere, with help from their children, Samantha, Sawyer, Spencer and Shane.
A horse owner since childhood, Mary is a former Mrs. Minnesota-America who was a Minnesota Vikings cheerleader as well as the director of the Minnesota Timberwolves Performance Team. Mary's passion for miniatures began after she suffered a work-related neck injury and didn't know if she would be able to ride full-size horses again. Mary won four National championships and four Reserve National titles at the 2008 AMHR Nationals and was the High-Point Amateur for Performance Under classes.
Mary's husband, Bob, is a sports columnist for the St. Paul Pioneer Press and a member of the KQRS Morning Show, the highest-rated morning show in America. Bob also has been a contributor to several TV sports shows, including ESPN's First Take (formerly Cold Pizza), and he spent two terms on the Orono City Council. Bob also has written a book entitled, "The Best Minnesota Sports Arguments" and was involved in designing the official AMHR-ASPC rings and pendants with Jostens, an internationally known company that has provided championship rings for Super Bowl, World Series, NBA, NHL and NCAA champions. Since 2005, Bob has won nine National championships at AMHR Nationals and Shetland Congress, including eight national titles in jumping classes (three in Hunter and five in Jumper).
Samantha, 13, is in the eighth grade and in her second year as a varsity cheerleader at Orono High School. She won Youth Jumper Over for the second year in a row at the 2008 AMHR Nationals and also won Fancy Turnout with Taylor Prince for the second straight year. Samantha won the Reserve National title in 2008 in Pleasure driving Over. Samantha won four national titles at the 2007 AMHR Nationals -- Youth Jumper Over, Youth Roadster, Youth Country Pleasure and, with Taylor Prince, Fancy Turnout. She won reserve national titles at the 2006 AMHR Nationals in Youth Hunter Over and 12-Under Roadster. She also won two reserve national titles at the 2005 AMHR Nationals.
Sawyer, 11, is in the fifth grade. He won the 2008 AMHR Nationals Country Pleasure Driving Over National title. Sawyer won the 2007 AMHR Nationals Youth Hunter Over national title with Magic and had several top five and top 10 finishes at the 2005, 2006 and 2007 AMHR Nationals.
Spencer, 6, who is in the first grade, won national titles in Youth Pleasure Under and Over classes at both the 2007 and 2008 AMHR Nationals. And, in his AMHR Nationals debut in 2006 at the age of 4, he had two reserve national titles in driving classes.
Shane, 2, made his show debut at the 2008 Shetland Congress, when he helped Dutch claim a top 10 finish in Liberty. He plans to exhibit in Halter, Color and Liberty classes during the 2009 show season.
